Certification of “QACS” for Personal Data Processing in relevance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)

The activities of QACS laboratories focus on quality control services for manufacturers cosmetics. The organization is conducting Efficacy and Dermatological Testing with the participation of volunteers that use the cosmetics.
In the organization’s context, sensitive data concerning volunteers are analyzed and archived in both physical and electronic form. The objective of the top management of the organization to keep these data safe, secure and up to date is the scope of a system that was developed and recently certified by Bureau Veritas Certification according to the technical standard related to personal data protection in compliance with the regulation (EU) 2016/679.
QACS is responsible for all processing of personal data within its operations not only those that concern its employees and customers but also for sensitive data of the people engaged in the studies. To comply with the Data Protection Law, the company has properly defined:

- an acknowledgment to people how their personal data are being used,
- the duration that these data are kept,
- the way for people to exercise their rights regarding their personal data,
- the data protection responsibilities and
- the way that data at rest or in transit (on electronic or hard format) are securely kept
